Tony A. Walker was born in Oakland, California. He was raised in Los Angeles where he was educated in private school, later moved to Compton California. Tony attended and graduated from high school in Long Beach Ca. Being raised by his mother (a single parent), she tried to shield her only child from the violence of gang activity which made him curious to seek what the streets were all about. Mr. Walker was called to become a member of an organization called “Blacks MEN” whose mission is to empower and educate black men. It was with “Blacks MEN” That Tony realized that he had a powerful voice as a speaker who delivers the message to the people about self-empowerment, how parents could tell if their children were becoming involved in negative activity.
Mr. Walker has begun to deliver his message to the people about self-empowerment, parental awareness about gangs, the identity of their children becoming involved in gang activity. Additionally, he speaks to the community about the hidden activities of violent gangs and gang vs. the community. Mr. Walker has also spoken with radio personalities nationally. He continues to collaborate with community organizations and intervention programs addressing the problems of violence, gang, drugs, Black on Black killings, and other racial issues that are having a profound negative impact in our communities. It is his mission to further empower the future generations and to assist with the healing of a great race of people. Mr. Walker continues to further his knowledge of Black History, past, present, and future.
